As part of our recent acquisition of Kaycan & BP Construction Product, a leading manufacturer and distributor of exterior building materials across Canada and the United States, this role is crucial in supporting our commitment to sustainable construction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the maintenance and engineering department, ensuring safety and environmental standards are upheld.
- Oversee the development and performance of maintenance and engineering personnel.
- Manage equipment reliability and protection, along with departmental budgeting and cost control.
- Collaborate with other departments to align strategies with Plant and Corporate objectives, focusing on safety, productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Implement a structured approach to maintenance that enhances plant reliability and performance.
- Monitor and own plant reliability KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety audits and risk assessments.
- Control maintenance budgets and manage capital projects effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-8 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with a proven track record in leadership.
- A solid understanding of business and engineering principles as they relate to manufacturing.
