We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the care of patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive nursing care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the care of patients receiving chronic hemodialysis, including patient education and support.
- Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments, ensuring the safe operation of dialysis machines.
- Access venous lines and central lines as required, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients during dialysis sessions, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Conduct primary nursing follow-up for chronic patients, addressing their ongoing care needs.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support the department and patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Valid BCLS certification at the time of hire.
- Preference for candidates with Cneph Certification.
- Experience in hemodialysis is essential.
- Proficient with medical equipment and basic computer skills.
- Strong patient assessment and education abilities.
- Able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Enjoy working with chronic patients and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional documentation capabilities.
- Meet the physical demands of the role.
- Maintain a satisfactory employment and attendance record.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts rotating between 8 and 12 hours across days and evenings. The role is part-time and permanent, contributing to a dynamic healthcare team.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $39.07 to $56.00 per hour.
