- Lead and facilitate the negotiation of significant international agreements concerning the sale of specialized aircraft for unique missions globally. Your role will involve crafting intricate and tailored terms that align Bombardier's interests with the specific requirements of our distinguished clientele.
- Prepare and negotiate a variety of contracts, including aircraft acquisition agreements, data licensing contracts, engineering service agreements, and modifications related to aircraft.
- Provide ongoing commercial and legal support to both internal teams and external clients to ensure successful aircraft delivery.
- Proactively identify potential risks and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative and effective strategies to safeguard delivery timelines.
- Communicate with management to address any unresolved contractual issues promptly.
- Manage correspondence with clients, including invoicing in line with contractual agreements, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Contribute to the enhancement of processes and governance related to departmental functions.
- Opportunities for international travel may be available.
- You possess a strong blend of business insight and risk management skills.
- A university degree in law or business is essential; an MBA is a valuable asset.
- You bring a wealth of experience, with a minimum of ten to fifteen years in a law firm or a large corporate environment.
- A solid background in negotiating commercial transactions and drafting agreements for at least ten years is required.
- You are a self-starter and a natural leader.
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills are crucial.
- Proficient drafting skills in English are necessary.
- Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours as business needs dictate, along with the ability to travel on short notice, is expected.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required; knowledge of an additional language is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the aviation and defense sectors, as well as U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), is beneficial.
