The Pharmaceutical Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a pharmacy environment. This position involves various responsibilities that contribute to the efficient management of pharmaceutical supplies and support for healthcare professionals.
Educational Requirements- Completion of a secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
The role is primarily based in a pharmacy or drugstore, where the assistant will be immersed in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in scheduling and managing workflow to optimize operations.
- Prepare and uphold the necessary equipment and supplies for daily activities.
- Process billing for third-party insurers accurately.
- Maintain comprehensive inventories of medications and prescription records.
- Ensure the availability of supplies and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Perform clerical duties to support office functions, including reception and appointment scheduling.
- Order and organize supplies and equipment as needed.
- Support healthcare professionals in their daily tasks.
Proficiency in the following software is essential:
- MS Excel
- MS Office Suite
- MS Outlook
- MS Word
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and efficient.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred candidates will have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 35 hours per week.
