We are a leading freight forwarding company seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and ensuring the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Logistics: Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including freight forwarding, dispatching, and inventory management.
  • Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Accuracy and Record-Keeping: Ensure the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.
  • General Office Duties: Perform general office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff as needed.
  • Dispatching: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
  • Issue Resolution: Follow-up on issues with work orders and ensure timely resolution.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory management tasks as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices.
  • Vehicle Operator Management: Maintain vehicle operator work records and process information and instructions to coordinate activities.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 1-7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English (fluency required).
  • Asset Languages: Hindi, Punjabi.
  • Work Setting: Freight forwarding.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Dispatch management service software, MS Outlook, QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, accurate, analytical, proactive.
