Key Responsibilities:
- Perform safe maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of complex customer-owned machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Maintain accurate records and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a timely manner.
- Promote and demonstrate a variety of sophisticated equipment to customers.
- Travel to customer job sites for maintenance and repairs as needed; ensure service vehicle is kept clean and professional.
- Assist with the collection and delivery of equipment and parts.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
- In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and various engine systems.
- Possession of tools relevant to the position.
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.
This position is classified as Safety Sensitive according to United Rentals' policies and procedures.
