About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Bartender to join our team at Tonic House, a vibrant and dynamic cocktail bar and social hub. As a valued member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and showcasing your expertise in mixology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cocktail Creation and Service: Prepare and serve our seasonal cocktail menu, including signature drinks, mocktails, wine, and beer, while adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Customer Service and Engagement: Provide top-notch customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Bar Maintenance and Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, including garnishes and other supplies, while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Transaction Processing and Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently through our point of sale (POS) system.
  • Event Hosting and Coordination: Confidently host or co-host community events, such as workshops, tastings, and social gatherings, as outlined in our Tonic House calendar.
  • Team Collaboration and Development: Foster a positive and energetic team atmosphere, upholding our house rules and etiquette standards, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and development as a bartender.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a cocktail bar, cafe, or hospitality environment.
  • Smart Serve certification is required.
  • Food Handlers certification is an asset, but not required.
