Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at Brookfield Properties. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction on our residential projects, ensuring that they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site, including the supervision of field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that all construction work is carried out in accordance with the Ontario Building Code and Health & Safety regulations.
- Monitor and control costs, ensuring that the project is completed within budget.
- Develop and implement construction schedules, ensuring that all stages of construction are completed on time.
- Coordinate and manage the labor force on site, including scheduling and coordinating all trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that all required inspections are completed, and that all necessary permits and certifications are obtained.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring that all employees and subcontractors comply with Health & Safety regulations.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all construction work meets the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, with experience in low-rise and high-density multi-family dwellings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers and MS Office.
- Experience with construction management software, such as BuildPro.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
