We are on the lookout for a talented Generative ML Engineer who possesses a deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and a solid foundation in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) or Text-to-Speech (TTS) technologies. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the integration of advanced LLM capabilities into our ASR or TTS frameworks.
This position is part of the Platform & Core Technology division.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement innovative generative AI models tailored for ASR or TTS applications utilizing your proficiency in LLMs. Apply your knowledge to train, fine-tune, and enhance LLMs, ensuring they deliver exceptional accuracy and naturalness in ASR or TTS environments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and subject matter experts, to develop customized ASR or TTS solutions that leverage LLM capabilities. Innovate existing ASR or TTS models by incorporating LLM advancements, optimizing performance even in resource-limited settings. Stay informed on the latest developments in generative AI, ASR, TTS, and language modeling, integrating new methodologies and best practices to elevate our systems' performance.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Extensive experience in developing Large Language Models, particularly in relation to ASR or TTS applications. Advanced academic qualifications (Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline. Strong programming capabilities in Python, with a proven ability to implement complex machine learning algorithms. Demonstrated success in developing ASR or TTS systems, with experience in acoustic, language, and pronunciation models. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a collaborative approach to thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment.At Cerence, we foster a culture of thought leadership and mentorship.
