Senior Assurance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Assurance Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly. As a key member of our Assurance team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals to deliver high-quality assurance services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of assurance professionals to deliver review, compilation, and tax engagements
- Collaborate with partners and the assurance team to plan, execute, and complete engagements
- Support, mentor, and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operations procedures
- Review account reconciliations and adjusting entries
- Review personal and corporate tax returns
- Review financial statements and related note disclosures using applicable financial reporting standards
- Consult with clients on various business and tax planning needs
- Provide exceptional client service to build strong relationships and encourage repeat business
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients and the firm through cross-team collaboration
- Coach and develop assigned team members for high performance and professional growth
- Share technical and human skills with the broader assurance team through training and development opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent field
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum of 4+ years of total experience in assurance within a professional services firm
- Demonstrated success in providing top-notch client service
- Strong technical and analytical skills, matched with problem-solving skills and professional judgment
- Curiosity and attention to detail to identify opportunities for improvement
- Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online, and Sage Accounting is an asset
- Technological strength with MS Office 365, especially in Microsoft Excel
