Join Our Team as a Trades Education Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled Trades Education Teacher to join our team at School District #37 (Delta). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a variety of trades and technologies, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more.

About the Role

This is a 1.0 FTE contract position with full teacher benefits. You will be working in a variety of schools throughout the school year, primarily in Teach Ed positions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and has experience in the trades.

Responsibilities
  • Teach trades and technology courses to students in grades 8-12
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a comprehensive education for our students
Requirements
  • BC Teaching Certificate
  • Experience in the trades
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

We offer a competitive salary based on TQS category and years of experience, ranging from $60,625 - $106,217. We also offer full teacher benefits and the opportunity to work in a variety of schools throughout the school year.
