Library Technician (Casual) Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Library Technician (Casual) at the Niagara Catholic District School Board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, organize, and maintain a diverse collection of library materials
  • Locate resource information for students, teachers, and parents
  • Deliver library services, including cataloging, shelving, and circulation
  • Support teachers' instructional programs
  • Participate in Board-initiated professional development and organizational meetings
Requirements:
  • Library Technician Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent
  • Three months' experience with the Dewey Decimal Classification System and cataloging procedures
  • Computer and audio-visual equipment knowledge and experience
  • Good interpersonal and artistic skills to promote library services
  • Knowledge of the current automation system
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and organize time efficiently
