As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of rail vehicles in accordance with customer contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of unionized maintenance employees to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of rail vehicles.
- Conduct job and safety briefings to ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve safety incidents and hazards in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate and ensure completion of special initiatives and projects to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
- Measure and analyze equipment reliability key performance indicators to identify trends and implement improvement strategies.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on maintenance performance and trends.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience supervising in a rail maintenance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and solve complex technical issues.
- Impeccable ethics and integrity.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance, work order, parts management, and scheduling techniques.
- Ability to build strong rapport with operations team and unionized maintenance personnel.
