About the Role

Alstom is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team for the Finch West LRT project. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the maintenance, repairs, and operation of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assignments such as replacement of failed parts or equipment, test, operation, and maintenance of fleet.
  • Perform various maintenance activities on the vehicle under the supervision of the site supervisor.
  • Report and record the incidents of electromechanical equipment/subsystem failures and perform preliminary troubleshooting, contact engineering or supplier for solution if necessary.
  • Report any damage or shortage of parts/tools to the logistic department to request replacement part or order spares and/or consumables, tools etc.
  • Based on instruction for engineering and/or supplier, design test/investigate methods and set up test, report test results to engineering and/or supplier to improve design/product quality

Requirements

Technician degree (electrical, mechanical, device and application etc.)

Strong aptitude to troubleshoot electromechanical systems and embedded software.

Relevant experience required.

Solid hands-on experience on electro-mechanical systems, 5-8 years

Specialized or cross-functional knowledge experience required by position / role.

Mid-level power application knowledge across industries

Knowledge of Technician Operation Standard

Effective technical communication / reporting both orally and in writing
