Job Summary

Rally Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing control strategies for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control System Design: Design and implement control strategies for Foxboro systems, including advanced control and automated procedures.
  • Programming and Development: Develop and maintain HMI's, and demonstrate programming capabilities on Foxboro DCS.
  • Process Control Support: Provide process control support for unit and capital projects, and perform alarm management activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of the plant multidisciplinary team to monitor plant performance and initiate actions to improve.
  • Database Management: Monitor and maintain the integrity of the control system database.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead or participate in incident investigations, and develop and maintain procedures to prevent future incidents.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in process automation/process control engineering.
  • Registration: Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) with APEGA.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to deliver results, and proven organizational skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Pavilion advanced control software, programming/scripting languages such as VB script, Jscript, and Powershell, and expertise with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
