Job Summary

New-Indy Ontario, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Ontario Mill in Ontario, CA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading mill production technicians and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach production technicians to meet mill goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan and execute mill maintenance shut downs
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and perform regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Assist employees in gathering and analyzing data to inform continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicate employee ideas and concerns to next-level managers
  • Resolve work problems and issues through effective communication and problem-solving techniques

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical materials
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programs
  • 7+ years of experience in the containerboard industry
