Overview:
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is looking for a dedicated Assistant Shift Engineer - Third Class to support the operations at our Power Plant. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our high-pressure thermal energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operation and upkeep of a high-pressure, high-temperature Power Plant.
- Collaborate closely with the Shift Engineer - Second Class.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Handle and maintain essential machinery such as boilers, turbines, and generators.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 with a minimum of three years' experience in an industrial setting.
- Possession of a Third (3rd) Class Power Engineer's Certificate of Competency.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Proven capability to work collaboratively within a team.
