Job Summary

Arctic Co-ops is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team in Fort Good Hope. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective store layouts, visual merchandising, and inventory management strategies to maximize sales and minimize waste.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, profits, and expenses, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and community partners to ensure seamless operations and optimal pricing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
