Senior Estimator Opportunity at EllisDon

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at EllisDon. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in leading our estimating team and ensuring the successful completion of bids.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of estimators through the bid process, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  2. Develop accurate and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management, and design-build.
  3. Coordinate with sub-contractors to obtain quotes and assist with the buy-out process.
  4. Monitor project success, identifying potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities.
  5. Maintain databases of labour rates, material pricing, and project costs for future reference.

Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of experience in ICI estimating or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  2. Advanced knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
  3. Ability to work effectively and accurately in time-sensitive situations while delegating to a team.
  4. Ability to work independently and communicate efficiently and effectively.
  5. Experience using CostX or BlueBeam takeoff software.
