Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our estimating team and drive business growth. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you'll be responsible for assembling accurate and timely estimates, managing bid processes, and developing civil estimators in the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the estimating team through the completion of bid processes for infrastructure projects, including bridge works, roads, water treatment plants, and concrete
  • Assemble accurate, timely, and well-organized estimates, including lump sum, construction management, and design-build pursuits
  • Work on multiple bids simultaneously, maintaining the integrity of the bid process
  • Organize and manage sub-contractor quotes, re-writing bid binders, and assisting project managers in the buy-out process
  • Monitor project success, noting potential challenges and risks
  • Focus on building relationships with sub-trades and suppliers for future opportunities
Requirements
  • Construction-related degree or diploma and a minimum of 10 years of civil estimating experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Strong understanding of unit rate bid process and software (e.g., Bid2Win or similar)
  • Working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies, and techniques, and construction contracts
  • Estimating experience in P3, Design Build, Design Build Facilities Management, Lump Sum, and Construction Management contracts
  • Estimating experience with bridges, roadways, and water/waste water treatment plants
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in time-sensitive situations within a team
