Project Engineer for Onshore New Unit Sales

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Onshore New Unit Project Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy Canada Limited. As a key member of our Gas Services Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in executing the on-shore scope of new unit sales contracts with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with customers by providing timely and effective solutions to their needs, collaborating with Siemens Energy product lines to deliver value-added services.
  • Manage resources to support site work, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Lead and motivate diverse project teams, making technical and commercial decisions that align with customer and project goals.
  • Oversee budgets and forecasts for execution work, tracking man-hours and costs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of commercial and technical concepts, practices, and procedures in the management of turbine and generator equipment.
  • Interface with customers and field service teams to install, test, operate, repair, and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external customer interactions.
  • Support the General Project Manager and sales team to maintain customer relationships and ensure project success.
  • Identify and resolve complex problems, applying problem-solving skills to a wide range of situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management or a related field.
  • Selected candidate will be required to obtain project management certification within 24 months.
