As the Senior Wellness Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our residents. You will work closely with the Director of Wellness to develop and implement personalized care plans, oversee medication administration, and foster a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Wellness to establish and maintain high standards of practice within our wellness program. Conduct resident assessments, develop comprehensive service plans, and facilitate care conferences to ensure residents' needs are met.
  • Assess resident care requirements, create individualized plans of care, and determine appropriate staffing levels and care fees based on acuity and services offered.
  • Work in partnership with the Director of Wellness to manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage aligns with occupancy levels, resident needs, and service delivery.
  • Supervise and oversee the medication administration program, including dispensing medications, conducting audits, maintaining control and secure storage of drugs and narcotics.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, participate in community outreach initiatives, such as presentations on wellness services and aging-in-place philosophies. Conduct resident interviews and assessments to determine suitability for admission.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or retirement living settings.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills with a commitment to providing exceptional resident care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening clearance.
