About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Simply Fresh. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our menu offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and customer satisfaction
    • Work with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and supplies
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation
    • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new recipes and cooking techniques
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food preparation and handling procedures meet the highest standards of food safety and quality control
    • Conduct regular kitchen audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner
    • Work with our front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a senior culinary role
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment with a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen
  • Tasks
    • Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
    • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
    • Create new recipes
    • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
    • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
    • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
    • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
    • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions
    • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
