About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Dee's Kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Chef Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we are operating within budget and meeting quality standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all dishes are prepared to order and presented in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Cook Trade Certification, Safe Food Handling certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Working Conditions

This is a temporary position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English, and the work term is temporary.
