Job Title: Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial transport trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Review work orders and estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Experience with diesel engines, electrical and electronic systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift heavy equipment
