We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reservations Supervisor to join our team at Best Western Williams Lake Hotel. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the front desk and reservations functions.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments: Collaborate with our housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage teams to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Establish work schedules and procedures: Develop and implement efficient scheduling and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
- Perform same duties as workers supervised: Demonstrate a strong understanding of our hotel's operations and be able to perform tasks such as checking guests in and out, handling room assignments, and resolving guest complaints.
- Prepare and submit reports: Accurately and timely prepare reports on guest feedback, room occupancy, and other key performance indicators.
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality: Analyze and resolve issues that impact guest satisfaction and hotel operations, providing expert advice and recommendations to improve processes and outcomes.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs: Provide exceptional service to guests with special needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work: Effectively manage and prioritize tasks, delegating responsibilities to team members as needed and providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of front desk and reservations staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain operation of computer systems, equipment, machinery and arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery: Ensure the smooth operation of our front desk and reservations systems, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Requisition materials and supplies: Order and manage inventory of front desk and reservations supplies, ensuring we have the necessary resources to deliver exceptional service.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility.
