Job Summary

Viking Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, removing litter and garbage, and performing various tasks to maintain our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and weeding.
  • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Apply fertilizers and other treatments to maintain the health and appearance of plants and trees.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other outdoor machinery.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed of tasks completed and any issues encountered.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other outdoor machinery.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
  • Use manual dexterity to perform tasks such as pruning and weeding.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in a physically demanding environment.
