Salary and Benefits:

$74,536.00 annually, in accordance with the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement, with potential incremental increases up to $114,000. Non-Instructional faculty members receive 210 hours of annual vacation, proportionate to FTE, along with paid time off during holiday periods. A competitive extended health and dental benefits program is offered. Employees in this department are required to participate in the College Pension Plan, which includes employer-matching contributions.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Director of International Education, the International Recruitment and Business Development Coordinator leads the College's initiatives in global recruitment and business growth. This role involves managing partnerships with international representatives and agents, expanding recruitment markets, representing the College at global events, identifying international business opportunities, overseeing marketing and communication strategies, and assisting with admissions and enrollment processes.

The position requires regional and national travel, along with international recruitment activities. Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary. The Coordinator may also be tasked with additional projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently, build collaborative relationships, and contribute effectively within a team environment.

Essential qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, international studies, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an educational or customer service environment;
  • At least 2 years' experience in international recruitment within Canadian higher education;
  • A proven track record of establishing and maintaining recruitment or business partnerships in Asia, Africa, and/or Latin America;
  • Knowledge of the international higher education landscape, both in Canada and globally;
  • Experience in developing marketing materials, websites, and social media strategies;
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy in dynamic global settings; and
  • Experience in organizing and managing international business travel arrangements.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following additional qualifications:

  • Proficiency in a second language, such as Chinese, Arabic, or Vietnamese;
  • Further training in International Education or International Business Development; and
  • Demonstrated experience in creating international programs, initiatives, or agreements in higher education.
