Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Instructor to join our Continuing Education team at the York Catholic District School Board. As a Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for the daily operations and supervision of students and staff in our International Language programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support instructors/teachers in the delivery of non-credit International Language programs
  • Meet with administration to discuss program details and expectations
  • Communicate regularly with program supervisors and staff to ensure smooth program operations
  • Monitor attendance and enrollment, and report concerns to Continuing Education staff
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as required
Requirements
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience
  • Experience working with children
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Effective student discipline and classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Lead Instructor for Continuing Education and Virtual Learning Programs
  • Previous experience teaching International Languages
  • Principal Qualification Program Parts I and/or II
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language
