The Associate Vice President Academic is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to various student support services at Academia Group. This role plays a critical part in the cohesive management and integration of diverse student experiences, advocating for students and fostering relationships to support student success.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute a holistic set of programming to enhance student life and Academia Group's goals.
- Student Conduct and Support: Manage student conduct cases and provide guidance and support to students.
- Service Management: Oversee services in International, the Learning Commons & Academic Success Center, and Student Services.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with department leaders and external organizations to develop and implement student services.
- Communication and Representation: Represent Academia Group on international, national, and provincial levels, and develop relationships with local communities and external organizations.
- Leadership Experience: Eight years of experience in senior leadership, preferably in a post-secondary setting.
- Student Conduct Management: Demonstrated skill in managing student conduct cases.
- Data-Informed Decision Making: Proven expertise in data-informed, learning and teaching focused post-secondary environments.
- Coaching and Development: A coaching mindset, creating a thought-provoking environment to help others achieve their goals.
