About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team at Lalton Construction. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring that all painting and decorating work is completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, including walls, ceilings, and trim.
  • Painting and Decorating: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, and roller painting.
  • Surface Repair: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces.
  • Wallpaper Installation: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors and at heights.
  • Work Setting: Work at various locations.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with airless spray equipment, brush painting, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Experience with sandblasters.
  • Wall Covering Specialization: Experience with wallpaper.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, reliability, and team player.
