Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package medications in a sterile environment, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate and timely medication distribution.
  • Perform unit dose pre-packaging and drug distribution, as well as narcotic issue and purchasing.
  • Refill automated dispensing cabinets and prepare extemporaneous preparations as needed.
  • Travel to offsite units to provide Omnicell refill and patient-specific doses.
Requirements
  • Licensed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) and educated from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
