Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Deli team as a Part Time Deli Clerk. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing legendary service to our customers, preparing products to Co-op standards, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service through various communication channels
- Prepare products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, and maintain production records
- Ensure a clean and well-maintained department, including the deli counter and surrounding areas
- Maintain and display all types of deli products according to department standards, including hot meals and salad bar
- Cashier duties as required
- Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times, following FIFO principles
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Deli Team Leader
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail or food service experience an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and load products, physical labor required
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
