As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer at TealBook Inc., you will be instrumental in designing our cloud ecosystem, enhancing our deployment workflows, and shaping our technical direction. You will guide a junior Cloud Operations engineer, provide mentorship to team members, and work closely with our development teams to ensure seamless, efficient, and scalable operations for our GenAI applications.
Your Contributions Will Include

  • Leading and executing technical discussions and best practices in Cloud Operations, with an emphasis on infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Designing, constructing, and sustaining our cloud infrastructure on GCP utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
  • Offering technical guidance and mentorship to junior Cloud Operations engineers, assisting in resource allocation planning, and participating in candidate interviews.
  • Collaborating with development teams to enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Managing our monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using the ELK stack, Grafana, InfluxDB, and Telegraf.
  • Contributing to backend development initiatives as necessary, primarily using Python.
  • Continuously assessing and integrating new technologies and methodologies to refine our Cloud Operations and backend practices.
  • Identifying and addressing risks that may affect the successful delivery of software projects.
  • Partnering with Product Managers to guide software development projects, including planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects on schedule.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, customers, and team members to define project objectives and timelines.
What We Seek
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Over 7 years of experience in Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of containerization technologies, highly-distributed backend systems, and microservice architecture.
  • Experience in backend engineering with strong programming capabilities.
  • Familiarity with data storage solutions: Mongo, Postgres, Redis.
  • Expertise with the ELK stack and Grafana.
  • Capacity to work independently, proactively, and navigate ambiguity to foresee and resolve issues before they occur.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with InfluxDB and Telegraf for monitoring and observability.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and GenAIOps.
