Job Summary

As an integral part of the Family Office Service team, you will focus on delivering tax, retirement, and estate planning strategies using our proprietary personal financial planning tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for clients, including determining their objectives, analyzing their current situations, and developing appropriate advice, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Stay current with financial planning standards and practices.
  • Identify opportunities for complementary businesses and solutions, and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement these initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of partnership and knowledge regarding all of RBC's units.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance our services.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Wealth Management Services.
Requirements
  • Financial Planner diploma granted by the IQPF.
  • Superior communication skills in English and French, both written and verbal.
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, with client-facing experience a strong asset.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Canadian taxation system.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning software (Conquest).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and ability to adapt to a fast-changing software environment.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required, as you will regularly interact with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
