Miku Restaurant Vancouver Ltd. is seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and implement efficient kitchen procedures and workflows to meet production demands.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff.
- Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and supplies to ensure optimal usage and minimize waste.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed and maintained at all times.
- Collaborate with the chef and other kitchen staff to plan and prepare menus, specials, and other culinary offerings.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as kitchen operations and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with kitchen staff, chefs, and other restaurant personnel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
