As an Inside Sales Associate at EMCO Corporation, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products for the construction industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting customers in assessing their needs and providing expert product selection advice
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with designers, home builders, and architects to grow profitable sales
  • Providing customers with quick and reliable quotes and accurate delivery dates
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly product-specific sales and gross profit targets
  • Entering orders and quotes in the system, expediting purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customers
  • Investigating and resolving customer issues, addressing short payments and returns in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining product literature to ensure the most current information is available to customers
  • Driving showroom sales through promotions and maintaining display materials
  • Understanding and following all safety regulations at all customer locations and at the Profit Centre
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; a college or university degree is an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or sales, with a preference for plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom sales experience
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at the Showroom and suggest appropriate products to suit customers' needs
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions, and close the sale
  • Possess excellent project management skills
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Intermediate math skills
Preferred Skills

Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in the plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms is an asset, as is experience using Trend and Eclipse.
