About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional - Supported Independent Living to join our team at enVision Community Living. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower individuals to identify and achieve their life goals through a person-centered approach and dignity of risk perspective.
  • Ensure individuals have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and community partners.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community events as required.

Qualifications
  • No experience required, but experience in the disability sector is an asset.
  • Core competencies include advocacy, building relationships, championing change and innovation, facilitating growth and development, inclusive leadership, problem-solving and decision-making, resilience, resource management, strategic thinking, and valuing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5F License and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Clear Adult & Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector are required.
