The University of Calgary's Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community and contribute to advancing the University's priorities.
About the Position- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace engineering and fundamental courses in general engineering and mechanical engineering.
- Conduct research in Data Science for Aerospace Engineering with a focus on computation, data-driven, and evidence-based approaches.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and contribute to building collaborations with other researchers.
- Teach and develop curriculum in aerospace engineering and data science.
- Conduct research in data science for aerospace engineering.
- Mentor students and contribute to departmental service.
- Hold a Doctoral degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Have strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Be eligible for registration as a professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
- Relevant industrial and teaching experience.
- Evidence of transdisciplinary research in related areas.
