About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of innovative cancer care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within your scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, write orders for treatment and medications, and make patient rounds as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose client status, and participate in research contributing to improved patient care and advances in nursing.
  • Prescribe drugs within statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions for Nurse Practitioners, and apply knowledge of pharmacology and evidence-based practice in selecting, prescribing, administering, and monitoring the effects of drugs.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
