Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Language Educator to join our team at StudyPug Tutors Richmond Inc.. This role involves facilitating language learning in a variety of settings, including vocational and technical high schools, as well as in business environments.

Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience: Candidates should have between 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
Language Proficiency

Knowledge of Chinese is considered an asset.

Work Environment

The position may involve working in:

  • Business and/or industry settings
  • Vocational or technical high schools
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare instructional materials and course outlines.
  • Administer and evaluate tests and assignments to assess student progress.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding curriculum and career choices.
  • Compile reports and conduct evaluations of courses and programs.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and presentations.
  • Facilitate discussion groups and seminars.
  • Support students with special needs.
  • Utilize various teaching methods including lectures, discussions, and practical studies.
Technical Skills

Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Teaching Formats

Experience in:

  • Tutoring or one-on-one instruction
  • Classroom settings
Safety and Security

A criminal record check is mandatory.

Transportation

Candidates must have their own transportation.
