Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic and medical imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Practice in accordance with professional standards and a patient-centered care model.
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices.
- Receive and complete requisitions, enter relevant data into the Radiology Information System, and prepare patients for examination.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, process radiographs, and archive acquired data.
- Monitor patient safety and equipment performance, maintaining a clean and safe examination environment.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and completion of a recognized program in Medical Radiology.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and standards of care, including safe work procedures with modality equipment.
- Knowledge of research process and methodology.
- Knowledge of PACS/Radiology Information Systems, digital imaging, image archiving, and retrieval.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to establish workload priorities and manage time effectively.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including software applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
