RocMar Environmental Inc. is a leading environmental consulting firm based in Ontario, Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental site inspections, providing detailed technical reports, and performing various tasks as directed by our senior Environmental and Engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct environmental site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
- Provide detailed technical reports to clients and stakeholders
- Perform tasks such as mould and water damage assessments, bulk material sampling, and asbestos surveys
- Evaluate indoor air quality using various types of monitoring equipment
- Collect field samples and prepare laboratory chain of custody
- Prepare detailed site reports, including recommendations for remedial measures
- Bachelor's Degree in environmental building sciences, environmental science, health and safety, earth sciences, environmental engineering, public health, or an environmental-related field
- Certification in Water Damage Restoration, Fire Damage Restoration, and/or Microbial Remediation is an asset
- Experience in building science, engineering, architectural science, environmental abatement/restoration, construction, health and safety is also considered an asset
- Understanding of technical laboratory and field-testing procedures required
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Ability to be flexible to accommodate emergencies and unscheduled work
