Job Summary

The Environmental Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the environment. This includes conducting surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment, collecting samples of materials for analysis, and inspecting workplaces for safety or health hazards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide information and training to employers, employees, and the general public on environmental safety and health regulations.
  • Conduct surveys and monitoring programs of the natural environment to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collect and analyze samples of materials to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Inspect workplaces to identify potential safety and health hazards and develop plans to eliminate or control them.
  • Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses to identify root causes and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all employees are trained on environmental safety and health procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, safety, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in environmental safety and health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
