Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your passion and expertise to identify, assess, protect, and remediate the natural and built environments
  • Act as the Technical Advisor on a diverse portfolio of environmental site assessment and remediation programs for a variety of clients across multiple sectors
  • Oversee development of simple to complex contaminated site investigations, including excess soil management, due diligence environmental site assessment, remediation activities, and monitoring programs
  • Develop proposals and respond to RFPs, including development of scope, budget, and schedule
  • Act as a client manager to understand customer needs and distribute work assignments and proposals to appropriate
  • Work with industry-leading professionals within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior and intermediate environmental staff on routine assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects

Requirements

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional registration in Ontario or is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience with experience in a similar role preferably within a consulting environment
  • Qualified Person (QP; other than risk assessment) as per Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), Ontario Regulation 153/04, as amended
  • Extensive working knowledge of relevant MECP regulations, specifically: 153/04, as amended (Records of Site Condition); 406/19 (On-Site and Excess Soil Management)
  • Previous working knowledge with the Canada Energy Regulator is considered an asset
  • Previous risk assessment experience including application of tools such as MGRA is considered an asset
  • Service-oriented with an entrepreneurial drive
  • Experience writing technical reports and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), and a collaborative attitude
  • A valid class G driver's license with no restrictions and a clean driving record
