Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technical Trainer to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in Ajax, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical training to dealership service personnel on automotive technologies and processes.
  • Develop and deliver training programs through a range of blended learning options.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the training centre.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Group Academy to review, maintain, and develop course content.
  • Participate in the planning and scheduling of service training classes.
  • Support the review and development of curricula, specific courses, and technical education methods.
  • Manage the Learning Center for day-to-day operations and maintain assets such as vehicles, equipment, storage, and security procedures.
Qualifications:
  • College Diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Provincial Technicians License or Interprovincial License.
  • 3+ years' experience in a technical automotive position within an OEM Dealership.
  • 3+ years' experience in training or teaching.
  • Logical thought process.
  • Willingness to adapt.
  • Highly competent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized.
  • Personal Computer skills in major office applications.
  • Team Player - ability to build and sustain credibility with dealer and internal teams.
  • Customer focus and process orientation.
  • Attention to detail and results-driven.
  • Flexibility for up to 75% travel in Canada.
  • Valid passport.
  • Great attitude and proven ability to be an effective team leader and collaborator.
  • Flexible with overtime.
