Job Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our medications. This role involves preparing, packaging, and organizing medication deliveries, requiring exceptional attention to detail. The successful candidate will support Pharmacists and Technicians in maintaining our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately document completed work according to policies and procedures
  • Prepare prescriptions for filling via dispensary software
  • Process, adjudicate, dispense, and fill prescriptions
  • Prepare compounds, creams, liquids, and other medications
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and ethical standards

Requirements

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and motivation to succeed
  • Positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude
