Job Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our medications. This role involves preparing, packaging, and organizing medication deliveries, requiring exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate documentation of completed work as per policies and procedures
- Prepare prescriptions for filling via dispensary software
- Process, adjudicate, dispense, and fill prescriptions
- Prepare compounds, creams, liquids, and other medications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards
Requirements
- Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service experience and motivation to succeed
- Positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude
