About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Crisis Response Clinician to join our team at the Vernon Urgent Primary Care Centre. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct and indirect mobile crisis intervention and mental health clinical services to individuals with serious mental health problems and/or problematic substance use or withdrawal management issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical, psychological, and socio-cultural nursing assessments of clients to determine their status and respond to health concerns.
  • Provide crisis response, assessment, suicide intervention, short-term treatment planning, and time-limited case management services.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide direct and indirect mobile crisis intervention and mental health clinical services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of clients and their families.

Requirements
  • Experience in mental health and substance use counseling and group facilitation.
  • Good working knowledge and experience in MHSU and concurrent disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
