We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
- Providing leadership to health services staff and overseeing the provision of quality health services, respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
- Working with existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Administering and recording prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice.
- Maintaining the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy.
- Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
- The ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts, inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification (preferred).
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
- Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment (an asset).
- A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
